The facilities and camp sites were great but the lady running the park was rude on multiple occasions. She made our 4year old very uncomfortable when she confronted him when he was by himself (he was riding his bike a couple of meters ahead …
Outstanding van Park.
Amenities are pristine. The staff/owners are friendly and super helpful.
The drive through van sites are spacious.
Beach walks, fire pit and a well equipped camp kitchen.
It also has a pool in the making. Also, a lawn bowls green.
Water hens and ducks pay a visit.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! We will see you again next year!
Had a lovely stop overnight here twice on our way to Cape York and on the way back. Very clean and spacious, great amenities, laundry and the pool will be finished very soon to add to the experience. Camp kitchen is well layed out and also very clean. Short walk to the sea and plenty of wildlife to watch.
Wow, what a peaceful campground. Choose a private slab site or a grass pitch closer to the beach. Beautiful short forest walk to the beach. Shop has a few basics but closest grocery store is 40 mins away. Good fishing in the creek or on the beach. Close to the National Park.
This is the best park we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying at! Large drive through sites with beautiful plants & trees between each site. Very neat & tidy with wonderful staff & amazing amenities. Great beach for walks & the park & beach are dog friendly. Do not miss this beautiful place 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
We stayed 3 nights in the glamping tent with our 10 month old.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the most rudest lady at reception. I walked in and before I could say why I was there she said Yes quite abruptly. She called someone on the radio to take us down. The guy that met us at the tent was lovely and he said to park our car in the shade under the tree as no one was coming in until the next day in the afternoon. As soon as we walked inside and started to unpack. The lady from reception yelled out to us from 5 metres from the door "oi , oi". I said to my husband I think she is talking to us. I was breast feeding my daughter so I wasn't able to get up and go to her. But before my husband could she said not to park our car there. From that point on she was yelling at my nephew who is only 3 for riding his bike on the side of the concrete. She yelled at us when I passed my daughter over the lawn bowls fence to my husband. She come down and slammed on the disabled toilet door when we were showering our daughter saying we can't shower in there when the toilet block is being cleaned. I'm sorry lady but they weren't cleaning them when we went into the toilet. And bashing on the door creating to scare my daughter and make her cry is no way to go about it. Why the heck you shut off the entire toilet block is not my problem. You need to reassess your cleaning steps.
The zipper on the tent was broken and kept getting stuck. Which isn't fun when you are holing a child to try get in. We notified them numerous times and nothing was done.
Also tv had no reception. We notified and they said to retry we did and still wasn't working. We notified and nothing done. Not worth $130 a night !
Won't be back. Is not a kid friendly place. And the lady at reception needs to stop being so abrupt and aggressive
Anyone travelling up east coast make sure you stay at Cape Palmerston Holiday Park! Big sites for only $40 per night. Absolutely lovely park with great facilities, open fires and such clean and updated amenities. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Even has a bowling green and you can practice your golf!! Lovely beach and a creek for fishing. Wildlife everywhere. Pool coming too shortly. Absolutely loved it! Our stay too short so make sure you give yourself at least 3 nights here!! Such a gem!! 😁😁😁
What a great place to stay. Not only are the sites all easy drive through but Ben guides you on. (Marriage saver)
Amenities are clean and neat. Laundry $4 a load.
The beach, a pleasant walk from the park, was spectacular. We will be back. Loved the sausage sizzle and trivia night!
